What You Need to Hang Wreaths on Windows
- Suction cup hook
- Wreath (Choose one at least 2/3 the width of your window for scale. My wreaths are 22″ wide and my windows are 30″ wide, for reference.)
- Ribbon (I recommend wired 2.5″ wide ribbon.)
- Scissors
- Push pin
See the video tutorial included below the steps.
Step 1 – Set Hook
Place the hook near the top of your window on a window pane.
Step 2 – Loop Ribbon
Cut approximately a 2.5′ to 3′ length of ribbon and loop it inside of the wreath. Place the backside of the ribbon in the middle of the wreath hanger on the back.
To change the look of our wreaths every year, I like to use different colored ribbon.
Step 3 – Hook Wreath
Place the wreath hanger on the hook with the ribbon in between them.
Step 4 – Attach Ribbon to Trim
To make the wreath look like it’s hanging from the ribbon, pull the ends of the ribbon up to meet the window trim. Fold over the ribbon and attach it to the trim with a push pin underneath to keep it hidden.
Step 5 – Add Embellishments
To personalize your wreaths a little further, you can attach dried fruit, ornaments, berry picks, bows, or bells to the stems with floral wire.
