Creating a welcoming home for the holiday season has always been a priority to me. The festivity, the meaning, the gathering of friends and family…I love it all!

Today I’ll share five simple ways I create a more welcoming home for the holidays with Wayfair finds.

Here are a few of my home and holiday favorites:

Plaid Napkins // Christmas Tree Polka Dot Plates

1. Invest in holiday traditions. These darling dessert plates will create memories that can last a lifetime. Traditions are meaningful. Ever since our kids were tiny we’ve used this same classic tree pattern on plates for holidays. We’ll be carrying this tradition on with our grandkids! I suggest bringing them out every year for hot chocolate and Christmas cookies.

2. Incorporate a classic Tartan pattern for the holidays. These cloth napkins and these pillow covers in a classic Tartan pattern will be a family favorite year after year! Have a stack of cloth napkins for your dessert buffets, use them at the dinner table or set them out for a family breakfast. Add a Tartan plaid pillow cover to signal the start of the season!

3. Add a mix of textures to create a sense of cozy comfort. This adorable winter tree pillow and chunky knit throw blanket will bring comfort and coziness to the entire winter and holiday season. Cozy rugs in every room to create a softer more welcoming mood. (My jute/cotton rug // My super soft floral entry rug)

Pine and Juniper Wreath // Lamp // Rug // Wooden Boxes

A mix of evergreens add the perfect winter texture to your decor, this wreath is a classic! Dress it up with a ribbon or ornaments if you want to! You can use it all winter, too.

4. Decorate simply for the season. A wood bowl with applies, dried oranges, and pinecones makes a festive statement with minimal fuss. Filling the bowl is a simple way to welcome a new season to your home. This bowl can be used in every season by switching out the fillers!

5. Focus on warmth. Lamps and candles will make your home feel so much warmer, cozier and more welcoming this time of year. I love these little lamps with scalloped shades to add a bit of coziness to the kitchen and entry. The candlestick holders and candles make every occasion feel magical.
