I have so many pairs of Sarah Flint shoes which are all really comfortable and fit me perfectly, but these are the 1st pair of Sarah Flint boots I’ve owned. So I put these block heel knee high boots to the test to see if they lived up to my expectations. Sarah Flint Alexandra 50 black knee high boots unboxing

Sarah Flint boots come in the brands signature blue card box. Each boot is carefully stuffed to maintain their shape and put inside individual dust bags. The dust bags used to be grey which was a bit blah but the company has stepped up it’s game with it’s pretty new blue and white floral print. It’s a motif you can also find in Sarah Flint’s accessories and home collections.

Why did I choose these black suede knee high boots

Suede black knee high boots were something I was looking to add to my boots collection. As they feel more elegant and dressy than black leather boots which I already have. I also wanted something cute but practical for walking around Europe this Winter. The Sarah Flint Alexandra 50 boots in black stretch suede are a lot lower than I’d normally go for with their 2″ heel, and my first pair of block heel knee high boots. It was the elegant tortoise-print leather block heel that really set these apart for me. As it makes them a bit more unique.

If you’re not looking for black, they also come in 5 other colors.

They’re a pretty penny so I want to give my personal review to see if they’re worth it or not from the material and quality to the comfort, practicality and style.

What makes Sarah Flint boots so special | It’s all in the details

The materials and hand craftsmanship are the main reason for Sarah Flint’s higher price tag and luxury brand status. The Sarah Flint Alexander boots are made from triple-dyed Italian stretch suede. That’s one of the things I really like about them. The full stretch suede shaft provides some give to them and is designed to form to your calf without losing its shape. Which can often happen especially with suede.

There’s a functional hidden interior half zipper in these knee high boots which gives them a sleeker look than an exposed zipper. It also makes them easier to get on than a pull on style. I still found them a bit of a wiggle to get pulled up and zippered but I’d rather they were snug than turn into slouch boots.

Features

  • 50mm (2in) To-the-knee boot.
  • Classic almond toe.
  • Inset Tortoise printed patent leather block heel.
  • Functional interior half zipper for a sleeker look.
  • Handcrafted in Italy.
  • Micro-stretch lining.
  • Triple-dyed Italian stretch suede.
  • Leather outsole with rubber forepart to prevent slipping.

The leather outsole and rubber forepart is designed to help prevent slipping. So I’m really hoping these will be good on sleek or wet pavements and cobblestones in London and Prague. Don’t worry, I’m definitely going to be I’m going to douse them with a good suede protector to protect them from the rain to make them more practical. As they’re obviously a Fall and Winter boot and I don’t want them to get destroyed the first time I wear them out.

Do Sarah Flint boots run true to size

Sizing wise, Sarah Flint’s website says that this style runs true to size in both their description and people’s reviews. So I ordered my normal size 7 in these black knee high boots to start but they were too big and slipped on the heels. So I sized down to the 6.5 which feel perfect on and aren’t slipping on my heels.

The only issue I have, which you’ll see in the video, is that I find them hard to zip up as I have muscular calves. I feel like they’ve made the leg width proportional to the foot size. As I didn’t have this issue with the size 7/37. Once they’re on they’re perfect and you want them snug so that they stay up. Just be prepared for a bit of a tug if you’re more muscular like me.

It’s up to you, maybe order a couple of sizes as they have a good return and exchange policy and see what works best for you with different socks.

How much are Sarah Flint boots

These boots are almost $900 or over $900 if you live in a state that pays sales taxes like most of us do. So while that’s not like some designer brands pricing where they are nearly $2000, that’s still a lot to fork out.

There’s a couple of reasons for their luxury price tag and that’s mainly that they’re handcrafted in Italy with quality materials.

Are Sarah Flint boots comfortable

These Sarah Flint black suede knee high boots are really comfortable, probably because it’s a much lower heel than I’m used to. I’m definitely going to be looking for more block heel knee high boots going forward VS stiletto heels which are my go to. As well as an almond rather than pointed toe, so my toes have room to move! I’ve only had them for a week so will update this after a long day on my feet but so far so good.

How to style Sarah Flint Alexandra 50 knee high boots

Styling wise, knee high boots are such fall and winter wardrobe staple that tend to be my go to. As they’re easy to style with skinny jeans which are back in style, leggings, sweater dresses, tights and dresses, etc. You can ever wear them under wider leg trousers and jeans or maxi dresses.

Shop Sarah Flint boots

If you’re looking for the most versatile color, black suede knee high boots are the way to go. However, the other colors are too pretty not to check out too. I’m seriously tempted by the navy, cognac and taupe but don’t know how long I’d be able to keep the taupe clean for. So it might be the cognac that gets added to my wishlist next, as they’d be so cute for Fall and Spring.
