Harrods, the iconic luxury department store, is celebrating the Year of the Snake with a captivating immersive experience featuring Labelhood. The store also offers delightful afternoon tea and exquisite spring festival hampers that pay homage to Chinese cultural heritage.
Celebrating the Lunar New Year, Labelhood will host a special pop-up from January 9th to 21st, featuring a curated collection of exceptional pieces from a diverse range of emerging Chinese designers, such as Uma Wang, Clot, Tangxindan, 1300 by Oscar Wang, and Samuel Guì Yang.
The ‘Spiritual Homeland’ pop-up will mark the third successful collaboration between Labelhood and Harrods. This unique event will feature inspiring artwork that celebrates the creative journeys of young Chinese artists in Jingdezhen, beautifully documented by photographer Leslie Zhang.
The pop-up, created in collaboration with Chai Wu, will offer a unique culinary experience that blends traditional flavours with modern techniques. Highlights include a special Lo Mein inspired by the Year of the Snake and a delectable Tangerine Chocolate Tartlet or Tang Hu Lu, a reimagined version of the classic candied fruit skewer.
The Knightsbridge-based Harrods will delight passersby with enchanting Chinese Spring Festival window displays that highlight the work of promising young Chinese designers.
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, Harrods’ newly opened Georgian restaurant will offer a specially curated afternoon tea featuring seasonal delights. Moreover, the Harrods Tearooms in Shanghai will also present an exclusive afternoon tea menu, extending the celebrations globally.
Harrods will offer two thoughtfully curated Spring Festival hampers, each filled with delightful treats. Enjoy the delicate aroma of jasmine tea, savour the crunch of cocoa-dusted pecans, and indulge in a special snake biscuit. These hampers also feature two exclusive chocolate offerings: a captivating gold-dusted chocolate snake bar and a collection of artisanal bonbons.
