Clean Sweep to Success: A Janitor Who Inspires a School

Share

Have you ever inspired someone to do better, whether on the field, in the classroom, or in life? Think about a time when your actions, words, or attitude motivated someone else to push harder, work smarter, or believe in themselves. It might have been something small, like offering encouragement during a tough time, or leading by example with your own determination. As you watch Charles Clark, custodian at Trinity High School in Euless, Texas, reflect on how your influence might impact someone else’s growth or confidence. How does it feel to know you could play a role in someone else’s journey to becoming better?

Curt’s Perspective:

Encouraging and supporting others to do their best is one of the most powerful ways to create a positive environment. When you take the time to cheer someone on, offer a helping hand, or provide words of encouragement, you’re not just lifting them up — you’re helping them believe in their own potential. We all face challenges, and sometimes, the difference between giving up and pushing through comes from having someone believe in us. By offering support to others, you create a team spirit that fosters growth and confidence, not just for them, but for you as well. Remember, when we help others reach their best, we all benefit.

Your turn:

Do you have a special person that helps you when your struggling?  Maybe someone at school, a parent, relative, or friend? Write a short paragraph that talks about a time in your life that you were struggling, and the person that helped you get through that tough time.
