I hope this message finds you well. As we mark the 40th anniversary of the Human Rights Program (HRP), I wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for your unwavering support and to share some of the incredible work your generosity has enabled.
Since 1984, the Human Rights Program has launched the careers of extraordinary human rights advocates, scholars, and leaders who tirelessly champion the values we hold dear.
Over the past year, your support enabled us to:
- Fuel on-the-ground initiatives led by HLS students and alums, including the investigation of war crimes in Ukraine and advocacy for women’s rights in Southern Africa.
- Offer a platform to exceptional visiting scholars and advocates: Our fellows are working on topics ranging from the intersection of feminism and climate change to transitional justice in Sri Lanka and Latin America.
- Organize pivotal symposiums and publications: The lessons from our conferences on international climate change law and the rights of people of African descent are helping to shape debates at the United Nations and in international courts.
