Volkswagen has recalled 385 ID.4 electric SUVs from model year 2023 because their rearview cameras may not display an image.
Volkswagen tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that the problem involves camera hardware, not software. It’s limited to a single batch of cameras received from a supplier, hence the small number of affected cars.
Dealers will replace the camera control unit to fix the problem.
By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.
