Meet Archit Singh, a Mid-Market Sales Manager based in Singapore. Now in his eighth role during his five years at HubSpot, Archit is the definition of a Grow Getter. Passionate about solving for HubSpot’s customers, and helping his team grow, Archit is also part of the team who recently launched HubSpot’s India office. Tell us about your role. What do you do for HubSpot? 

I’m a people manager for the Mid-Market Sales Team at HubSpot for the India & SAARC region. I was part of the original team that launched our sales operations here in 2019. I’ve worked in various roles, including direct sales and managing partner businesses. Now, I lead the Mid-Market Sales team. My day involves team meetings, customer calls, one-on-one sessions with my team, and collaboration with other departments. I also spend a lot of time analyzing data to improve our performance and planning ahead to ensure we meet our goals. In essence, I help guide and support my team in achieving sales targets and expanding our market presence in India.

What does collaboration look like on your team?

Collaboration on our team is dynamic and multifaceted. We start each day with a focused team catch-up on themes like training, market intelligence, and competitive awareness, keeping us aligned and informed. We work closely on customer calls, share insights in one-on-one meetings, and tackle challenges together, fostering a supportive environment.

We also prioritize cross-functional collaboration, regularly coordinating with marketing, pre-sales, success, and customer support to align strategies and enhance our effectiveness. Open communication, feedback exchange, and strong teamwork drive our collective success, helping us deliver exceptional value to our customers and meet our sales targets.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of the job is putting in effort and seeing my team grow. It is incredibly fulfilling to watch them develop and succeed. As a sales leader, this growth not only brings me happiness but also a profound sense of accomplishment.

What do you find the most challenging part of your job?

The most challenging part of my job is adapting to the rapid changes in the market. Keeping up with new trends, competitive movements, and shifting customer expectations requires constant learning and flexibility. It’s a continual balancing act to stay ahead while ensuring our team remains focused and effective.

What is one piece of advice you’d give to someone wanting to become a HubSpotter?

My advice for someone wanting to become a HubSpotter is to have a genuine passion for customers. Aim to understand their needs deeply and be committed to helping them succeed. Embrace the SFTC (Solve for the Customer) DNA of our business, making customer-centric solutions your priority. This approach is at the heart of what we do and will set you up for success.

What are a few ways you balance work and life? How does HubSpot’s flexibility/hybrid work style help with this?

I balance work and life by setting clear boundaries, prioritizing tasks, and making time for activities that recharge me, such as exercising and spending time with friends and family. HubSpot’s work flexibility and hybrid offerings are crucial. For example, when I was new to HubSpot, I opted to be in the office to learn as much as possible from the people around me. Today, I enjoy a flexible work arrangement, spending time in the office to connect with my team and working remotely to be more productive. HubSpot’s culture of trust and emphasis on results over hours worked enables me to maintain a healthy balance, ensuring I stay motivated and productive without sacrificing my personal well-being.

 

What are the top 3 things you love about your role and team?

  1. Driving Team Success: One of the top things I love about my role is the ability to drive my team’s success. Guiding, mentoring, and supporting them in achieving their targets and growing professionally is incredibly rewarding.
  2. Fostering a Positive Culture: I am passionate about fostering the best culture within our team. We prioritize open communication, mutual support, and a positive atmosphere. This supportive environment enables us to perform at our best and enjoy our work.

How do you solve for the customer?

I solve for the customer by deeply understanding their needs and challenges, ensuring that our solutions are tailored to meet those needs effectively. I actively listen to their feedback and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our offerings. By maintaining open communication and building strong relationships, I anticipate potential issues and address them proactively. My goal is to provide exceptional value and ensure that our customers are successful, aligning our efforts with their long-term goals.

My job at HubSpot stands out due to its strong emphasis on culture and values.
