Sisters Becca and Jess Stern would like you to consider the at-home possibilities for the metal storage locker. Their company Mustard Made’s first collection starred the school hallway staple recast in game-changing colors: see A Standby Reinvented.
The Sterns went on to offer lockers at a range of heights with adjustable shelves, making them perfect for use as everything from pantries to wardrobes and bedside tables (with accompanying Mustard Made accessories, such as metal baskets).
Success led the family business to expand: Becca and Jess’s husbands now work with them full-time, and the team has just launched a line of glass-fronted cabinets and wall-hung ledges. All of Mustard Made’s pieces are composed of powder-coated steel and share the same design DNA: they represent, in Becca’s words, “an elevated spin on what a locker can be.”
