In a meeting of clean beauty minds, hair-care brand Crown Affair and the fragrance experts at NETTE have joined forces to create a stunning new home fragrance. Housed in a signature ceramic NETTE vessel—in mint green, of course—the Take Your Time candle translates Crown Affair’s recognizable scent into an inviting, tranquil candle.Â
The Inspiration
The collaboration stems from a shared passion for clean beauty, so it’s only fitting that NETTE founder Carol Han Pyle is a long-time Crown Affair enthusiast herself. “Crown Affair products are the only things I use on my hair,” she shares. “Wash days are the best because my whole bathroom smells like their delightful signature scent all morning. I was beyond excited to partner with Dianna and her team to create a candle in a hand thrown Crown Affair-green ceramic with their fragrance ever-so-slightly evolved to be perfect for home.”
Crown Affair founder Dianna Cohen says she’s had her sights set on a project like this for years. “Since we launched four and a half years ago, I’ve been dreaming of creating a candle for the home that smells like the refreshing, relaxing Crown Affair experience in-shower,” she explains. “NETTE is one of my favorites in the clean fragrance space, and I’ve been burning their candles in my home since they launched,” Cohen adds. “Carol has a brilliant approach to the fragrance creation process—and it’s a dream that she’s been a Crown Affair customer and part of our community since we launched as well.”
The Scent
Han Pyle describes the candle’s scent profile as a “soothing scent filled with all of Crown Affair’s beautiful markers,” such as yuzu, apple, lemon blossom, tea and freshwater lotus. “We also added some super luxurious woody elements to the base like cedarwood from Virginia and sandalwood along with a luminous amber note,” she says.Â
The Take Your Time candle represents a convergence of expertise in clean hair care and fragrance and offers consumers a way to extend the Crown Affair experience beyond their hair-care routine, creating a cohesive sensory experience from bathroom to living room.
