But what about the products themselves?

Bottom Line
-
Weleda spray works very well as a deodorant. It is not an anti-perspirant so keep that in mind. It does a good job of keeping you from, how to put this delicately, stinking. And this was after a few hikes with the dogs too.
-
The scent is clean, bright, understated and so very nice.
It’s a fresh, citrus and lemony scent, not overpowering but perfectly scented. There are also similar notes to a German cologne, 4711, which also has a clean, fresh scent to it. It smells really, really good, like would spritz behind ears good.
-
It comes in a bright, lovely green glass bottle instead of a hunk of plastic that always tips over after a few uses. It looks much better sitting on your bathroom counter too and the green bottle brings joy.
-
Weleda offers this deodorant in wild rose and wild sage scents on their website and all are aluminum and salt free.
-
They do advertise that they partner with Terra Cycle, and Terra Cycle has had a few issues in Europe and here in the U.S. with collected plastic not really getting recycled.
-
Price may be the only sticking point as a 3.4 ounce bottle costs around $14. But compared to this 2.65 ounce Native deodorant from Target, which costs $14 for the plastic free option, with some reported packaging issues, the Weleda is a much better bet in our opinion. Plus the company has been making healthy and eco-friendly products for over 100 years.

Highly recommend.
