Known as “the world’s biggest and best half marathon”, the 2024 edition of Great North Run saw thousands of runners used JustGiving to raise millions of pounds for charities like yours as they ran the impressive 13.1 miles from Newcastle to South Shields.

How much money was raised in Great North Run 2024?
Year after year, we’re blown away by the JustGiving community showing up for the causes they care about.
And this year was no different. JustGiving fundraisers raised more than £6 million (and counting) during Great North Run 2024. Not only that, but the average amount raised per JustGiving Fundraising Page was 12% higher than 2023.

Guide Dogs
Guide Dogs decked out their JustGiving Campaign Page with a descriptive story, custom header image and background, and a “menu” of what various donation amounts will help the charity do for people with sight loss. They recruited #TeamGuideDogs and raised £55,650 from 2800 fundraisers, with donations continuing to come in.
Multiple Sclerosis Society
Multiple Sclerosis Society had over 300 people take to the streets in Great North Run 2024. They rallied fundraisers together with a JustGiving Campaign Page, so far raising £25,000 to support research, information, and services for the 130,000 people in the UK that have multiple sclerosis (MS).

Great North Air Ambulance Service raised £51,000 and counting on their Great North Run 2024 Campaign Page to help save lives and keep families together.
